Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Ashby site. As a key member of our Engineering function, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service to sustain and improve production operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure production plan requirements are met.
  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance records, including PPM schedules and data entry records.
  • Act as host for contractors working on site, ensuring safe working practices are agreed and necessary documentation is completed.
  • Respond to requests from production and maintenance leads for engineering assistance, monitoring visual management boards to prioritize tasks.
  • Work with production teams to improve their capability and knowledge of equipment.
  • Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Follow policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Contribute to food safety and health and safety, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe working practices are followed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally multi-skilled.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and drive to succeed.
