Job Overview:

We are seeking a responsible and dedicated individual to join our School Crossing Patrol Service as a School Crossing Patrol Officer. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of children on their way to and from school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the important task of ensuring the safety of children on the roads, working closely with the local community to make the roads of Hampshire safer for all pedestrians.

This is a permanent, term-time only position, working 10 hours per week, typically an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. A uniform will be provided to protect you against the weather, and some basic IT skills are required.

We have multiple posts available across Hampshire, and we are keen to hear from individuals who are responsible, able to demonstrate traffic awareness, and are committed to making a positive impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of children on the roads
  • Work closely with the local community to promote road safety
  • Carry out patrols during term time, typically an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon
  • Wear a uniform provided by the council to protect against the weather
  • Use basic IT skills to perform tasks related to the role
