Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at HC-One. As a key member of our gardening team, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the homes' gardens and grounds to a high standard.
About the Role:
This is a part-time position covering multiple care homes in Liverpool. You must be able to drive and have access to a company vehicle provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and present the homes' gardens and grounds to a high standard
- Undertake general gardening duties, including planting seasonal foliage, grass-cutting, shrub pruning, watering hanging baskets, and eradicating weeds
- Tidy pathways, walkways, and driveways surrounding the care home grounds
- Perform maintenance on gardening machinery and tools
- Work closely with the estates team to undertake salt gritting and snow clearance as required
Requirements:
- Understanding and implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, Emergency and Fire procedures
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with Residents, the Home Manager, and other colleagues and visitors
- Safeguarding training and awareness of signs indicating possible abuse, harm, or neglect
