The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Beaver Process Equipment Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Design Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving our product engineering program forward.

The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing customised mechanical products using our 'configure-to-order' (CTO) and 'engineer-to-order' (ETO) processes. You will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure that our products are designed for manufacture and meet the highest quality standards.

  1. Design and develop customised mechanical products using CTO and ETO processes.
  2. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure design for manufacture and quality standards are met.
  3. Review and approve cost estimates and drawings.
  4. Develop and maintain engineering standards and systems.
  5. Work closely with the Design Engineering Manager to drive the product engineering program forward.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about designing and developing customised mechanical products. You will have a strong focus on design for manufacture and quality, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  1. Engineering degree (mechanical or related) with strong academic results.
  2. Mechanical product design experience (appropriate for role level).
  3. Ideally – experience with engineering for piping fabrication (ASME B31).
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
