Job Title: Asset Lawyer for Employment Matters

The Penningtons Manches Cooper Employment Team provides fast, proactive, and practical legal support, advising Senior Executives on contractual disputes, contentious exits, and high-value claims. We are recognized as market leaders in advising employees, trade unions, and staff associations on various matters, including industrial disputes, severance agreements, and regulatory issues.

The role involves providing legal advice and guidance to our Police Federation client base, focusing on contentious and non-contentious employment matters, regulatory, and pension issues. The ideal candidate will have employment legal knowledge and experience in regulatory and/or pension matters, with a solid understanding of IT platforms used in litigation, case management, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and assessments on the merits of potential tribunal, regulatory, pension, and other claims
  • Managing employment tribunal and pension cases
  • Providing day-to-day legal advice to clients
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, submissions, and legal documents
  • Providing training to clients
  • Attending networking and marketing events

Requirements:

The ability to handle a caseload of employment tribunal claims to final trialExperience in regulatory and pension work
