The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Invigilator to join our dedicated team of staff. As an Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of external examinations, adhering to Exam Board regulations as established by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). Your responsibilities will include preparing the examination room, supervising student entry, and distributing papers and stationery in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the examination room to meet JCQ requirements.
- Support the supervision of student entry in a quiet and orderly manner, following the seating plan provided.
- Assist with the supervision of exam conduct, adhering to JCQ regulations.
- Ensure correct identification and registration of all candidates.
- Maintain awareness of examination conditions and prevent unauthorized materials from being brought into the exam.
- Distribute correct papers and stationery in an orderly and timely fashion.
- Display start and end times of exams and maintain the seating plan.
- Monitor student behavior and external noise in a discreet manner.
- Distribute additional paper or equipment as required.
- Supervise students with special needs and/or exam concessions.
- Manage 'clash' candidates between examinations as needed.
- In the event of a fire, ensure students are moved to a safe location while keeping them separate from other students.
- Respond to candidate queries and address any issues arising, in liaison with the Admissions and Examinations Officer.

Details
