About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound investigations, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations using a variety of modalities, including ANC/TV scanning and non-obstetric scanning.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of professional knowledge and skills in imaging modalities, including ultrasound.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the supervision of student radiographers and contribute to the development of our team.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound, preferably at master's level.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Sound professional knowledge of imaging modalities, including ultrasound.
  • Experience in a diagnostic ultrasound imaging environment, with a strong understanding of patient care and safety.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Highly specialist training in aspects of ultrasound, such as small parts or vascular imaging.
  • Developed knowledge of specialized ultrasound imaging techniques.
  • Experience with digital/PACS-enabled ultrasound equipment.

Language Skills
