We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our catering function, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe production of beverages and meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Support the catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
- Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
- Act with respect and dignity towards residents and their visitors, upholding the values of Avery Healthcare.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
You will also need to be an efficient worker, capable of sustained physical effort, and display a positive and flexible attitude to team working.
