Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing therapeutic apheresis procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver apheresis procedures for emergency and elective patients and donors.
- Provide safe and compassionate care, upholding clinical standards and ensuring best practice is achieved within policy frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain nursing practice standards and meet local regulatory frameworks.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to support patient-centered care and quality and safety.
- Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced staff and student nurses.
- Travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) with post-registration experience and a degree in a clinical area.
- NMC professional registration (which must be maintained in the role).
- Demonstrate an awareness of current issues in nursing.
- Possess a valid driving licence, allowing you to drive in the UK.
- Demonstrate commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
