Job Title: Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing therapeutic apheresis procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assess, plan, and deliver apheresis procedures for emergency and elective patients and donors.
  2. Provide safe and compassionate care, upholding clinical standards and ensuring best practice is achieved within policy frameworks.
  3. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain nursing practice standards and meet local regulatory frameworks.
  4. Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to support patient-centered care and quality and safety.
  5. Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced staff and student nurses.
  6. Travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) with post-registration experience and a degree in a clinical area.
  2. NMC professional registration (which must be maintained in the role).
  3. Demonstrate an awareness of current issues in nursing.
  4. Possess a valid driving licence, allowing you to drive in the UK.
  5. Demonstrate commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
