About the Role

This role reports directly to the Global Data Compliance Director and sits within the wider global COO function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce a data governance framework that aligns with corporate policies and industry standards.
  • Design and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure effective data governance.
  • Regularly review and update data governance frameworks to adapt to evolving regulations and business needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal staff on governance policies and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks within QRT data sphere, including operational, security, and compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts relating to data.
  • Monitor risk mitigation processes and ensure risks are effectively communicated and managed across the organization.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure ongoing risk mitigation effectiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of compliance and risk mitigation activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors concerning governance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain incident management processes to respond to and recover from production data incidents.
  • Lead incident response activities, ensuring that incidents are managed effectively and lessons learned are incorporated into governance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data governance as an owner and/or steward, or a related role within a similar firm.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience in incident management and response.
