Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ottershaw Schools. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide general classroom and break time support to our students, working collaboratively with the class teacher to meet the needs of specific children with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students in the classroom and during break times
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Support children with additional learning needs
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young children of all abilities
  • Understanding of the Primary Curriculum
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (essential)
  • A level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years or Education (preferable)
  • A level 2 NVQ in Childcare/Early Years or Education (essential)

  • Term time only working hours
  • A salary grade of B6: FTE salary £22,599
  • An actual salary of B6: £16,842.70 for 31.65 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year
