The Role:

This Senior National Account Manager position will be instrumental in scaling up the business across national accounts with major retailers like Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Ocado, and Holland & Barrett. Key responsibilities include developing strategic plans to drive growth, winning new business with key retail accounts, and building strong relationships with decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Develop and implement comprehensive account plans to drive sales growth and meet targets across major UK retailers.
  • New Business Acquisition: Win new business with key retail accounts through effective negotiation and relationship-building.
  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at retail partners.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms, promotions, and joint business plans to ensure mutual profitability.
  • Strategy Alignment: Align sales strategies with brand missions alongside the marketing team.
  • Market Insights: Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform strategy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on sales, marketing, and supply chain initiatives.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and support the wider team with your expertise and leadership.

About You:

  • Passion for Food and Wellness: A strong passion for food, health, and wellness drives your career goals.
  • FMC/ Retail Experience: Proven track record in FMCG or retail account management, with experience managing UK retailers essential.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build long-lasting relationships at all levels.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Data-driven and highly analytical in your approach to sales and marketing.
  • Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, results-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptability: Flexible, adaptable, and tenacious in achieving goals.
