Audit Manager

Join Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited, a top 50 firm in Watford, and take on a challenging role as an Audit Senior / Assistant Manager.
As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for assisting audit directors, senior managers, and managers with audit assignments, booking appropriate staff, and managing fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Manage and coordinate audit teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Review and complete files, highlighting key issues and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Set budgets and negotiate fees with clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Raise invoices and track delivery against budgets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in appraisals and reviews, identifying training needs and areas for growth.
- Engage in business development, attending networking events and identifying new opportunities.
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 2 years of post-qualified audit experience from a UK accountancy firm.
- Strong technical skills in UK GAAP, with experience in computerized packages (preferably CaseWare).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key risk areas.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Employment Details:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday (hybrid), with a competitive remuneration package.
- Right to Work in the UK required, with a salary dependent on experience.
Remuneration Package:
- Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week's salary.
- Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme, with employer and employee contributions.
- Private Medical Insurance, following completion of 3 months' service.
- Death in Service scheme cover, with 4x salary.
- Group Income Protection Scheme, following completion of 3 months' service.
- Annual Leave, with 25 days per annum (pro rata), and 3 days at Christmas/New Year.
