Highly Motivated Physical Education Specialist Wanted for SEMH Schools

GSL Education is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Physical Education Specialist to join our team of professionals working with students in SEMH schools. As an Unqualified PE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people by providing engaging and inclusive PE lessons.

Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about physical education and has experience in coaching or teaching sports, particularly in an SEMH or similar setting. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to adapt the PE curriculum to meet the needs of all students and provide one-on-one and small group support to help them achieve their personal best.

About the Job

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons.
  • Support students' physical, emotional, and social development through sports and physical activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to adapt the PE curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their personal best.
Requirements
  • A strong passion for physical education and working with young people.
  • Experience in coaching or teaching sports, particularly in an SEMH or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated team.
