About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Unit Operations Specialist to join our team at Motorsport Network. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the performance of our Honda-built F1 power units.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Management: Manage and look after each Power-Unit operation and control data, ensuring accurate and efficient analysis.
  2. Control Specification Updates: Understand updated control specification (algorithm) and create and set up control data, optimizing unit performance.
  3. Result Analysis and Optimization: Collect running results and optimize control data settings to improve overall unit efficiency.
  4. Engine Fire-Up Procedures: Proceed with engine fire-up procedures, adhering to established protocols.
  5. Monitoring and Support: Set up and monitor data during Power-Unit operations, providing support as needed.
  6. Dyno Testing: Participate in dyno testing activities in Japan, the UK, and other customer sites, requiring occasional training in Japan.
Requirements
  1. F1 Power Unit Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge of F1 Power Units, including their design, operation, and maintenance.
  2. Data Analysis Skills: Demonstrate ability to analyze data from Power-Unit reliability and performance aspects, using tools such as ATLAS and System Monitor.
  3. Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; competence in Japanese or another European language is desirable.
  4. International Travel: Be prepared for frequent travel overseas, including potential deployments to Japan and other locations.
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
