About the Role

Our company, Unipart Logistics, is seeking a skilled Building Services Maintenance Expert to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all plant and machinery across multiple sites, ensuring that all works are completed in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Assisting/supporting the supervision of sub-contractors for the Facilities and Property Department.
  2. Understanding and working with the Planet (work control) system, ensuring work/job sheets are completed within agreed timescales.
  3. Completing works to meet departmental targets, SLAs & KPIs.
  4. Collaborating with line-manager/team to deliver best practices and develop cost reduction/equipment efficiency improvement initiatives.
  5. Liaising with all TCE customers to ensure support and requirements are delivered to agreed timescales/standards.
  6. Utilizing your basic understanding of various systems to carry out tasks required, including fire alarms, BMS systems, electrical feeds, HVAC systems, and site drainage systems.


We offer a competitive salary of £35,089 per annum, plus 22 days holiday rising, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have technical skills in both mechanical and electrical functions, a valid driving licence, experience of mechanical and electrical plants, and experience in a similar role. Additionally, you should be educated to GCSE or equivalent, able to work to targets and timescales, have excellent problem-solving skills, and possess an eye for detail. A quality focus, mechanical competence, self-motivation, excellent communication skills, good organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a member of a high-performance team are also essential.
