Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Sociology curriculum, preparing and delivering engaging lessons, and assessing student performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver an innovative and engaging Sociology curriculum that meets educational standards.
- Prepare and deliver lessons on various Sociology concepts, theories, and practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and critical thinking.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, presentations, and class discussions.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their understanding and skills.
- Stay current with developments in the field of Sociology and incorporate relevant real-world examples into lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or qualification in Sociology.
- Proven experience in teaching Sociology at the secondary or higher education level.
- Strong knowledge of Sociology concepts, theories, and research methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of a valid passport for international travel (if required).
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
