Job Summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to join our team as a HSE Compliance Officer. The ideal candidate will have a background in high hazardous environments or chemical and gas management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate HSE compliant activities undertaken on site.
  • Lead or contribute to investigations into hazards and dangerous occurrences.
  • Review and facilitate comprehensive incident recording.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development and review of policies and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with Business Partners and site managers.
  • Complete toolbox talks.
  • Maintain and deliver the internal QHSSE audit programmes.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Certificate, British Safety Council Diploma in Safety Management, NVQ4 in Occupational Safety & Health Management or equivalent.
  • Relevant Internal Auditor qualification or experience.
  • Full UK Driving License.
Experience
  • Operating within a diverse service organization.
  • Working within certified Management Systems.
  • Inspection and auditing.
