Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team at Prime Appointments. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the workshop and ensuring the smooth operation of our assembly and machine operation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Head in maintaining product output and quality standards
  • Investigate and implement process improvements and cost reductions to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in production when necessary to maintain output and meet customer demands
  • Train and develop new staff members and provide progression training for existing staff
  • Diagnose and repair faults in Lathe Machines and Associated Equipment
  • Use maintenance-based software to track and manage tasks and maintenance schedules
  • Provide assistance to Service Engineers as needed

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a production environment with hands-on knowledge of methodologies such as Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, Poka-Yoke, or similar process improvement techniques
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals
  • Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance
