Cardiff, Cardiff, United Kingdom Admiral Group Plc Full time

We are a dynamic international insurance business with offices across the globe. Our Compliance team plays a crucial role in supporting and overseeing various entities within the Group.

As a key member of our Compliance team, you will provide support on Compliance matters to existing and new businesses, helping them with monitoring, reporting, setting, and changing policies. You will ensure that best practices are shared and developed to create a better business.

You will be reporting to the Group Head of Compliance in the UK but spend a significant amount of time supporting Compliance teams across the Group, initially focusing on European insurers and intermediaries.

A strong understanding of regulations in different countries is essential, as well as the ability to interact with diverse groups of people who may not have English as their first language. Although foreign language skills are not essential for the role, they would be an added advantage.

Monitoring experience is highly desired, along with the ability to interact with senior management and people at all levels of the organization, with the aim of supporting and improving the Compliance environment in each company within the Group.

The role is hybrid, with some time spent in the Cardiff office but most interactions taking place online. A small amount of foreign travel is expected in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the creation and updating of local policies and procedures
  • Writing and delivering training on compliance monitoring, as well as other compliance subjects as required to develop the various teams across the business
  • Completion of thematic monitoring reviews across the Group as required, as well as working with the dedicated Compliance Monitoring team to support their reviews
  • Supporting and developing the Group Compliance team in maturing their approach to compliance matters where appropriate
  • Supporting the Group Head of Compliance as and when requested
  • Providing input into reporting requirements as necessary, including the Group Risk Committee Compliance report, and relevant local Management Committee reporting
  • Attending management meetings and committees, as required
  • Providing 2nd line challenge in ongoing project activity, as required
Requirements:
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and support others
  • Able to interact with senior management in various businesses
About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading international insurance business and contribute to the development of our Compliance function. If you have a passion for Compliance and a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, we would love to hear from you.
