About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Technical Instructor to join our well-established and innovative occupational therapy and acquired brain injury (ABI) team at Guild Lodge. As a Technical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing a clear vocational/educational pathway for ABI inpatients, working closely with service users and staff to promote the importance of vocation and educational opportunities within the ABI service.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement vocational/educational programs for ABI inpatients, focusing on developing a clear pathway for service users.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to identify and establish links for vocational and educational opportunities.
- Work closely with the ABI team to promote the importance of vocation and educational opportunities within the service.
- Contribute to the development of a predictable structure and routine, incorporating work and education as integral parts of the ABI service model.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent training to Diploma level.
- Ability to undertake Positive and Safe training.
- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or equivalent training.
- Ability to network with other agencies.
- A knowledge of the benefits of vocation/education as an intervention, as well as awareness of community resources that support this.
- Experience working within a vocational/educational setting.
