Pertemps Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Horizontal Machinist to join our esteemed client's team in a Temp to Perm role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all quality procedures are followed as detailed in our company's guidelines.
• Manufacture or finish products to the correct specification, adhering to our quality control standards.
• Highlight and pass specification changes for amendment to ensure seamless production.
• Communicate production problems to the Team Leader or Assistant Production Manager.
• Ensure all product identification is complete and accurate.
• Carry out machine changeovers in conjunction with workload requirements and production targets.
• Comply with Company Housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work through and resolve process running faults, escalating as required.
• Responsible for complying with Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Exceed 80% efficiency in output targets.
• Minimize rejects, aiming towards 0%.
• Minimize customer complaints, aiming towards 0%.
• Avoid and minimize machine breakdowns by ensuring correct machine setup.
• Ensure documentation is legible and accurate.
• Reduce recurring manufacturing problems.

Requirements:

• Time served apprenticeship in any mechanical discipline.
• Machining skills using manual horizontal/vertical borers.

Working Conditions:

• 37 hours per week with optional overtime.
• Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 17:00 (Dayshift) or Monday to Thursday 21:15 - 07:00 (Nightshift).
