Job Summary:

Pertemps TM is seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication and Coordination: Provide effective communication between stores and distribution teams, ensuring seamless coordination of transportation services.
  • Delivery Management: Manage all required communication to store colleagues and area managers regarding scheduled store deliveries, including overspill and re-delivery plans.
  • Team Support: Communicate with out-based delivery teams, providing support and information on schedules and store requirements.
  • Customer Service: Respond to inbound calls and emails related to deliveries, providing efficient and effective support.
  • Data Management: Accurately record and maintain data on delivery disruptions, including early, late, and rolled deliveries.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze the E/L/R log to produce weekly and period KPI information, reporting anecdotal noise and concerns for review.
  • Service Level Reporting: Produce and issue a daily service level report, providing on-time and in-full data to the senior leadership team.
  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the SFC transport operation.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attitude and Approach: Positive attitude with the ability to listen and be approachable.
  • Technical Skills: Good system and IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience: Experience within a similar distribution environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills.
