Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our West Sussex Care Delivery Service. The successful candidate will be based in Linwood Assessment and Treatment Service, caring for adults in the community in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality mental health care to patients. The post holder will be responsible for seeing new assessments, providing detailed assessments, formulation, and risk assessments, developing management plans, and reviewing these in an outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge in the specialty, be able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, and have participated in research or service evaluation. They will also be able to provide medical leadership in the development of the team and wider working-age services, in line with the CDS and Trust goals.

Main Duties
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Seeing new assessments and providing detailed assessments, formulation, and risk assessments
- Developing management plans and reviewing these in an outpatient setting
- Reviewing patients already known to the ATS as required, during their journey through the ATS system
- Liaising with local primary care services and providing advice and guidance
- Providing supervision of junior medical staff and providing advice to other members of the team
- Providing senior clinical leadership to the ATS
