About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team at Interaction - Watford. As a key member of our construction team, you will work closely with Contracts and Site Managers to provide accurate and detailed project costings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce quantities from drawings and develop detailed cost plans, schedules, and feasibility studies
  • Prepare pre-tender estimates and create tender documents including bills of quantities and scope of works
  • Manage procurement and appointment of suppliers/subcontractors
  • Attend site visits and meetings to review valuations and progress
  • Oversee cost management across project lifecycles, including pricing variations and preparing valuations
  • Compile financial reports, manage period cost reporting, and produce final accounts
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and handle contract documentation
Requirements:
  • A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one) such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or CIBSE
  • At least 3 years of Quantity Surveyor/Estimator experience, with the ability to manage tenders up to £4m
  • A diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in administration, writing, numeracy, IT, and MS Office
  • A valid CSCS card and full driving license
  • Strong team-working skills, as well as the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
