We're looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join our growing team in Central London. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing statutory accounts, and providing expert advice on taxation and business improvement. You'll work closely with our senior team members and contribute to our continued growth and success.

Your Key Responsibilities

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring their statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are prepared accurately and efficiently\
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clients' businesses and provide expert advice on taxation and business improvement\
  • Work collaboratively with our senior team members to achieve our goals and objectives\
  • Contribute to the development of our team and help to train and mentor junior staff members\
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, ensuring you're always knowledgeable and compliant\
  • Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, communicating effectively and professionally\
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects and services\
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base\
  • Identify and implement process improvements, enhancing our efficiency and productivity\
  • Support the development of our online presence, contributing to blog posts, social media content, and other marketing materials\
  • Engage with our community, participating in local events and initiatives\
  • Represent BV Recruitment at industry events and conferences\\

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

\
  • \
  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent\
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in statutory accounts and corporation tax\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Proactive approach to client management and relationship building\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Familiarity with FRS 102 and UK tax law\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
  • Experience of managing staff and reviewing junior staff's work\
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities\
  • Business development skills and ability to grow existing relationships\
  • Professional certification (e.g., CTA) would be an advantage\
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade C or above\
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word\
  • Basic knowledge of payroll and HR systems\
  • Time management and prioritization skills\
  • Experience in supervising staff members\
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and KPIs\
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills\
  • Continuous learning and professional development\
  • Professional certification in tax or accounting (e.g., ATT, CIMA)\
  • Industry-specific software training and expertise\
  • Candidates with transferable skills from other sectors may also be considered\
