Job Title: Community Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ministry of Justice as a Community Coordinator, playing a vital role in supporting individuals on probation and contributing to the rehabilitation of offenders.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising work groups of offenders serving community sentences, ensuring that all tasks are carried out to the best of their ability. This role requires effective communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to model pro-social attitudes and behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise work groups of offenders, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments to identify and manage potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of service users, including updating case management systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work towards accreditation as a workplace assessor or deliver training assessments for selected service users.
  • Contribute to promoting Community Payback with colleagues, external agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to model pro-social attitudes and behavior.
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to achieve and maintain L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent.
