Job Title: AV Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Telefónica Tech. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the proactive management and support of servers, storage, and associated technologies that provide the foundation for our platforms and customer services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive support and monitoring to our MS hosted environments
  • Triage and help resolve issues raised by customers and internal users
  • Provide second-line support to our RDS environment
  • Deployment and proactive monitoring of virtual machines on the VMware Hypervisor platforms

Requirements:

  • Experience of working to ITIL process and guidelines
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage priorities
  • Experience of working within a dedicated IT department
  • An understanding of Virtualisation and backup technologies
  • An understanding of Active Directory & Group Policy Management
  • Service Desk software experience
  • An experience of working with Blue Light Services
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Must be able to work on initiative and as part of a team
  • Must have a driver's license and access to a form of transport as visits to internal sites may be required

Technical Skills:

  • ITIL v3 foundation or higher
  • VMware deployment of Virtual Machines
  • Automated Patch management third-party tools
  • A methodical troubleshooting approach and strong attention to detail
  • Active Directory Management
  • Group Policy Management

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) based on a rolling shift pattern which is typically: 07.5 hours weekend working required on either a Saturday or Sunday 1 in 3 weeks.
