About the role

We are seeking a Governance and Legal Officer to join our Governance and Executive Support team. This role will support the delivery of the College's legal, regulatory and governance responsibilities, enabling the smooth functioning of Council, the Board of Trustees and its committees.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality governance services, contributing to crucial decision-making processes at the highest level of the College.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day governance and secretariat support to the College's Finance and General Purposes Committee and Audit and Risk Committee.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing governance and secretariat support to the College's committees.
  2. Developing and maintaining the corporate risk register and board assurance framework.
  3. Supporting the Trustee and Committee appointments process.
  4. Maintaining and reporting on key College processes and associated registers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a background working in a governance setting, including servicing committees and managing registers.

They will be agile and flexible, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
