Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Jisc. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of platforms and applications supporting the work of the cybersecurity function.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and development of platforms and applications supporting the work of the cybersecurity function
- Patching and monitoring of network devices
- Assisting in the monitoring and auditing of all systems to ensure they are performing optimally
- Providing second-line troubleshooting and support to users of services hosted on the platform
- Assisting in disaster recovery maintenance, testing, and validation
- Maintaining and reviewing documentation, processes, and procedures
- Background in enterprise network administration
- Experience managing network devices via CLI and using automation technologies
- Solid understanding of protocols and technologies supporting a network, including DHCP, DNS, NTP, and RADIUS
- Fluency in at least one scripting language, such as Python
- Previous experience in automating systems and processes and building in resilience
