Job Description

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Drama Teacher to join an excellent school in Harrow. As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging drama lessons to students in primary or secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interactive and engaging drama lessons to students according to the national curriculum.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' progress and performance.
  • Create and direct school productions and performances.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and professionals to develop cross-curricular projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in drama education.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience in teaching drama to primary or secondary students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Passion for drama and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and manage lessons and productions.
