Job Overview: We are seeking highly skilled interpreters to join our team at Language Empire in Padstow, Cornwall.
">About the Job: As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality interpretation services to clients across various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations. Our team provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK.
">About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to be fluent in English and another language, with formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages. You must also have the right to work in the UK and be aged 21 or over.
">Working Conditions: This is a self-employed position, which offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be required to liaise between service users and service providers, checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence. You will also be involved in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting, dealing with highly confidential information.
">Benefits: As a freelancer, you will enjoy flexible working hours, competitive rates, and the opportunity to be your own boss. Our dedicated in-house team will provide ongoing help and support, as well as continuous professional development and support. Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
