Job Overview

Ingevity is seeking a skilled Capital Project Engineer to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for managing small to medium capital projects, primarily focused on chemical process upgrades in a high-hazard plant environment.

About the Role
  • Implement projects using our FEL process, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Support all project phases, from feasibility to commissioning, guaranteeing completion of required deliverables.
  • Prioritize safety and compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including process and functional safety.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  2. Develop and implement effective project management strategies, leveraging various models such as EPC and EPCM to suit specific project needs.
  3. Drive improvements in our capital project standards and ways of working through active participation in our Continuous Improvement program.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing capital projects within manufacturing, process, or production environments.
  • Strong technical and engineering skills, excellent communication abilities, and leadership expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, utilizing problem-solving tools to optimize outcomes.
