We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Early Years Learning Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Belgravia, London. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to provide one-to-one or small group support to children with special educational needs (SEN) within the Early Years setting.

About the Role:

The Early Years Learning Assistant will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on their unique needs and abilities. This may include supporting students with personal care, communication, and social interaction as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement differentiated activities that cater to the diverse learning styles of SEN students">
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies">
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the quality of support provided to students with SEN">
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to promote the welfare and safeguarding of all students">

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within an Early Years setting">
  • A strong understanding of child development and learning theories">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team">
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students">
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting children with SEN would be advantageous">
