About the Role:

As a Custody Driver with Serco, you will be part of a team that provides safe and secure court transportation and custody services for children and young people. Your primary responsibility will be to collect and transport these individuals from youth offender institutions or police stations to courts, ensuring their physical and mental well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Search property and people to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Manage the emotional and physical well-being of the young person, recognizing and addressing any anxieties or concerns
  • Prevent escape, self-harm, harm to others, and damage to property
  • Ensure food and drink are available throughout the day
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for the day

Requirements:

  • Current driver's license (B/B1 license)
  • Reasonable fitness level
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
