SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to support children with educational and social needs in a mainstream primary school. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring students reach their full potential through high-quality teaching and learning.

This challenging yet rewarding role will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills and experience in de-escalation techniques and supporting pupils in anti-social contexts. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work as part of a team and support pupils with personal care where necessary.

The key requirements for this role include:
* A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification or proven experience in an EYFS or KS1/KS2 setting
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at Level 2 or above
* Residency in the local area

To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
* Passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs

This role offers a competitive salary of £21,575 - £24,009 per annum (based on 39 weeks). Our ideal candidate will be a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
