Job Overview

The Real Estate Acquisitions Lead role at High Speed Two (HS2) involves overseeing acquisitions on the route, ensuring land is available to the project at the right time. This position requires expertise in negotiation, relationship-building, and project management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead acquisitions on the route, negotiating compensation claims within policy and budget constraints.
  • Build relationships with property owners, facilitating effective negotiations and settlements.
  • Support petitions, negotiations, and valuations to meet forecast and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the property acquisition management team to ensure a consistent approach across HS2.
  • Embed EDI principles in all work and support organizational initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Surveying or property-related discipline.
  • Understanding of compulsory purchase process or government compensation schemes.
  • Proven experience in property business, supplier management, and relationship development.
