About the Role

SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with students who have severe learning difficulties in a KS3 class. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in positively impacting the lives of young people with special needs and be willing to work with challenging behaviour.

About the School

The school caters to students aged from Reception to Year 14 who have moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical, sensory and/or physical needs. The school prides itself on a warm and supportive staff environment where teachers always work in collaboration and as a team. The school is an innovative and fun place for students to learn and thrive in a safe and supportive environment, where independence is prioritised.

About You

As a Teaching Assistant working with special needs, you will be strong, confident and caring, with a keen interest in positively impacting the lives of young people with special needs. You will be willing to work with challenging behaviour and be flexible and willing to take on all challenges. You will have experience in a special needs setting and be able to provide dedicated support in all classes, helping students access learning materials and fully engage in activities. You will also encourage social interaction and independence among students.
