Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant for Complex Needs

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduate to support students with complex needs at a school in Preston.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a graduate with a passion for supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and experience of working with pupils with PMLD. The successful candidate will work with small groups of children, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with and providing support to children with SEN
  • Experience of supporting pupils with PMLD
  • Building rapport with children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
Requirements:
  • Psychology (BA Hons) degree
  • Enhanced DBS (clean and relevant)
  • Safeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM
  • Behaviour management training (desirable)
  • Committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to form new relationships
  • Full driving licence with access to a vehicle
