We are seeking a skilled and experienced Weekend Cook/Chef to join our team at A2Dominion Group. As a Weekend Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a high-quality catering service at our retirement housing scheme, which caters to 57 self-contained apartments for residents aged 55+.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead our service to prepare and cook meals for our busy restaurant service, ensuring high-quality dishes that cater to residents' and guests' dietary and cultural needs.
- Complete administrative documentation, recording meals sold and reporting resident feedback to the Chef Manager.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines, including the Registered Homes Act 198.
- Take responsibility for own time management, working with colleagues, and maintaining the standards set by the Catering Manager.
- Previous catering and hands-on food preparation experience is essential.
- Ideal candidates will have a Catering/Cooking qualification and/or experience working in a Care and Support environment or cooking for large volumes of people.
- Ability to engage with elderly, vulnerable customers and their families.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with completing online training, with support provided by the company.
- 25 days' holiday (pro-rated for part-time, plus bank holidays), increasing up to 28 days with 3 years of service.
