Job Summary
As a seasoned Financial Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of multiple large-scale mechanical projects. With your expertise in managing project budgets, revenue and cost recognition, forecasting, and financial reporting, you will ensure that our projects stay on track and meet their financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management: Monitor and manage the financial performance of projects, ensuring they stay within budget and meet financial targets.
• Prepare detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
• Analyze project costs, identify variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Revenue and Cost Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of project revenue and costs, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Review and analyze contract terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition methods.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and tracking of costs and revenue.
• Cash Flow Management: Generate and monitor project cash flows based on project builds and milestone invoicing.
• Work closely with project managers and the finance team to ensure that invoicing milestones are met and accurately reflected in the cash flow forecasts.
• Review and close projects on a timely basis.
• Reconcile project sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly.
• Manage the timing of cash inflows and outflows to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should bring:
• Professional Accountancy qualification, CIMA or ACCA, plus a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
• Proven experience in revenue and cost recognition and cash flow management within large-scale projects.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, LN).
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
