About the Role

VickerStock is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and Analyze Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and industry standards. Lead risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Maintain and improve our quality management systems, including ISO standards, to ensure consistency and excellence in our products and services.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures, including new hire inductions and regular toolbox talks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Participate in regular health and safety meetings, provide advice and guidance to management and employees, and promote a positive safety culture across the organization.
  • Audits and Inspections: Coordinate external audits, manage on-site inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Oversee the management of hazardous waste, conduct daily environmental checks, and lead energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a health, safety, and environmental role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Qualifications: Relevant NEBOSH qualification, experience with ISO standards, and internal auditor certifications.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
