Deputy Ward Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our high-performing CAMHS and Eating Disorder service. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will provide managerial and clinical leadership to the day-to-day management of the nursing team, prioritizing and monitoring workload to ensure duties are delegated safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the ward manager in delivering nursing care and providing expertise and guidance to the team.
  • Recruit, retain, and ensure safe staffing levels across the service.
  • Ensure all regulatory standards are being adhered to.
  • Motivate and lead the team to work towards outstanding nursing care levels.
Requirements:
  • RMN or RNLD qualified.
  • Already working in a leadership and management role.
  • Ideal experience in CAMHS or Eating Disorders.
  • Effective communicator.
