Machine Learning Expertise Wanted

We are a leading Healthtech Scale-up company that is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As a key player in our data science department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and developing machine learning models that transform data into actionable insights.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting new projects and leverage your expertise in machine learning to solve complex business problems. You will also play a critical role in mentoring junior team members, shaping the data science strategy, and influencing decision-making within the data science department.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Data Science roles and hands-on experience with machine learning models. You will also have some experience in leading or mentoring and valuable insight into general data strategy, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, building, and developing machine learning models and leading tasks or projects
  • Mentorship and development of junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and professional growth
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand and address business challenges and translate them into ML solutions
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art advanced analytics solutions
  • Optimization and automation of existing models to ensure long-term performance and scalability
  • Collaboration with Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Contribution to the constant evolution and development of company-wide data strategy

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience working in Data Science for over 3 years specifically with ML and Predictive models
  • Leadership/Mentoring experience, a role model and guide for junior team members
  • Strong communication skills able to translate complex data, strategy, and information to stakeholders and external team leaders
  • Comfortable working with industry-leading technology in an ever-advancing field

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience within Healthtech/Biotech or similar industry
  • Experience in a Start-up/Scale-up or high-growth environment
  • Contract/Interim Experience

Day Rate: £700 per day (Outside IR35)
