Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner with an Extended Role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join their team in Horsham. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans for children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based care for Child and Adolescent mental health patients in secondary care.
- Undertake assessments and reviews of new and follow-up patients in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.
Essential Qualifications
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCGP or MRCGP equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
- Additional clinical qualification
Eligibility
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment
- Eligible, or within 6 months of being eligible, for inclusion on the GMC General Practitioner Register
- On the National GP Performers list

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent organisational skills
Clinical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Excellent knowledge in General Practice, applied in a primary care setting
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
- Experience of MDT working
- Excellent communication & listening skills
