HGV 2 Driver Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV driver to join our team at Travail Employment Group Ltd. As a HGV 2 driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently from the Newtown area to various destinations.

The Role:
  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles.
  • Ensure the security of goods during an efficient transit to designated locations.
  • Awareness and adherence to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Complete critical vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
  • Maintain excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
  • Report any incidents, accidents or vehicle issues to the appropriate authorities.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Class 2 HGV Licence.
  • CPC Licence.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Must have a UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the public.
  • Reliable, punctual and customer oriented.
