Are you considering advancing your career in the realm of Building Information Modeling (BIM)?

We are seeking a BIM Technician to join a distinguished organization located in London.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience on the contractor side, particularly with mid to high-end residential and hospitality projects.

A background in architecture would be advantageous.

This role entails working with an existing federated model, coordinating information with subcontractors, liaising with the main contractor, participating in clash detection workshops, generating BIM reports for clients, and contributing to the company's internal BIM setup and structure.


It is essential to note that this position does not involve creating models from scratch; rather, you will be working with existing models and the project BIM execution plan.


BIM Technician Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to BIM standards, Project BEP, and contractual obligations, supporting delivery teams
  • Supervise task teams, track progress, and promptly address any delays
  • Serve as an intermediary between stakeholders for effective project execution
  • Drive Information Execution Plans and conduct supply chain evaluations
  • Provide strategic direction for Information Management, produce reports, and lead digital implementation. Support team development and enhance the BIM and Digital profile across the organization.
  • Coordinate models created in Inventor
  • Develop Revit models from 2D AutoCAD drawings for BIM integration and model building elements in Revit for federation.
  • Create and enhance project content using Revit and Navisworks
  • Align company BIM information with Base Build models
  • Federate models and perform clash detection, including reporting and resolution

BIM Technician Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills, leadership in digital management
  • Tenacity, initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgment
  • Effective time management, adaptability, and openness to change
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on solutions

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in leading information management for large frameworks or programs of work
  • Proficiency in IT and implementing industry standards such as PAS1192 and ISO 19650
  • Experience in project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and documentation
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, CAD, and CDE solutions
  • Familiarity with COBie information and managing project data requirements
  • Strong understanding of BIM 360 and ACC

Educational Background:

  • A background in the construction industry with experience in both Architectural and MEP sectors
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a BIM Manager, with a strong track record in managing and implementing BIM processes.
  • Desirable knowledge of digital lifecycle stages and various digital techniques
