The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Partnership Strategy Officer to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of waste management in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Working closely with our strategic waste management board, you will engage with government agencies, local authorities, and key stakeholders to understand and assess future waste service requirements. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing strategies to improve waste management practices and reduce waste in the region.

You will need to have significant experience in the waste management sector, with a deep understanding of the Resources and Waste Strategy for England 2018, the Environment Act, and the Environmental Protection Act. Your knowledge of these documents will be crucial in delivering targets and objectives set out in them.

As a Waste Partnership Strategy Officer, you will lead in the delivery of activities and undertake service option assessments to explore how best to produce improved performance and efficiency across the partnership. Your experience and expertise will be essential in driving positive change and making a real difference in the community.
