Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a mainstream secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism and ADHD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as organization, time management, and self-advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies, promoting positive behavior and reducing challenging behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Autism and ADHD in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques, with a commitment to promoting positive behavior.
  • Qualifications in teaching or a related field, or equivalent experience.
