About the Role

F.P.T. Industries Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the logistics function, setting targets, and ensuring they are met in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a Safe Working Environment: Create and sustain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of team leaders, operators, and administrators in a logistics environment.
  • Process Improvement: Lead process and improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Training and Development: Consistently review training requirements and training matrix to ensure no single points of failure or gaps.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory policies and procedures, including cycle counting, stock control, and transactional movements.
  • COPQ Management: Own COPQ (cost of poor quality) to include stock levels against shelf-life constraints.
  • Culture Development: Create, lead, and influence an environment where team members can take ownership and responsibility for their roles, ensuring a right-first-time culture.
  • KPI Management: Set KPI targets and robustly review on a regular basis to continuously improve standards.
  • Export Control: Manage export control legislation alongside our external support network.
  • Performance Development: Carry out PDPs with the team, setting objectives to be completed within agreed timescales.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Full Driving Licence: Possess a full driving licence.
  • ERP/MRP Experience: Essential experience in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Attitude: A can-do attitude with a drive to succeed in a team environment.
Desirable Experience & Skills
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience in continuous improvement, including 5S.
  • Import & Export Compliance: Knowledge of import and export compliance.
  • SAP System: SAP system knowledge.
Required Qualification Requirements
  • Leadership or Management: Leadership or management qualification.
  • Supply Chain / Logistics: Supply chain or logistics experience or relevant experience.
  • Forklift Licence: Forklift licence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Health and Safety: Health and safety at work qualification.
  • COSH: COSH qualification.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement qualification.
Working Hours

Monday-Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
Fridays: 07:30 - 16:00
(Every other Friday is a non-working day)
